We propose and create a client's garden according to the ideal, image and need so that both building and outdoor site become more attractive. Landscape Ohta Niwaishi values having a conversation with a client to create a satisfied garden together.
Landscaping for Restaurant in Kakamigahara City Gifu pref.
As remodeling an old residence to a restaurant, offered to remove the existing garden to the opposite site. The direction of the entrance is changes to the south side and the existing entrance garden had removed to the parking space. We constructed demolishing the existing garden first, picked the garden stones and trees for a new garden building.
Dismantled an existing garden:There were the piled and stone stairs and lots of trees in the garden facing the road. We transferred some of them to the main garden.
Reｍoved all soils to the ground level, paved the earth on the ground again using existing paved stones.
After construction:Walking through the gate, the first step paved the flat Ena-ishi irregularly welcomes with facing the pine tree unity. The path changes to paved with the different sizes of Oya-ishi, and you can see the two stone island on the right hand.
Before the construction:The site is situated to be seen from the right angle.
The main space: After the construction:We created Tsukiyama using only two stones and setting Kutsunugi simply to make visible from right angle seats. Kutsunugi is reused from the gate stone.
Arrange the natural stones:The stonework used only two stones is arranged to capable seeing from the right angle, and located to take a depth perception with pine tree unity.
The path:Consecutive path using the different ways to pave leads the visitors to the entrance changing the scene with excitement.
Around the entrance before the construction:Walk the passage, and the entrance hall is to the right.
Around the front door -After the construction:Transplanted maple tree, wash basin and a blue post bamboo fence are colourized around the front door. Following to the big size step stones, there is the first modern material which is a deformed concrete stair by a plasterer, the aim doesn't become too much Japanese. We selected this wide and small step concrete stairs for the children to the elderly people comfort and safety to come.

The Completion of Building Garden

We created this site from blank. The house was modern designed and the garden had to suite to. The plan and specifications were already completed by the designer but the client etrusted as we create within budget, we could bring forward to construction with the clietr's desire and our suggestions.
The client requested just a simple and large turf garden, we proposed a simple and clean garden that was not so messy. We selected a evergreen tree that reduces the management, so that concentrate on the maintenance of the turf. We also proposed a natural stone put it front of the living room where their family gathers.

The railway sleepers stand in front of white wall, adding tree improve color contrast and depth perception each other.
The approach in tiers with a special tecnique "Araidashi" which the cement mixing with pebbles raised by washbrush up. The ever green tree will interrupt the direct view to the entrance gently.
We selected the evergreen tree and yellow marble stones to lighten in shady courtyard . Cots Stones paved topping their flat part, and formed a natural curve line. It is an important point that is designed to make the courtyard visible when the door is opened and to be a highlight, so we placed grass protection sheets for not be messy and graveled as light-color.

The courtyard has little sunshine, so the choice of materials and the minimum planting for reducing dark and humid.
It is a courtyard seen from the entrance. We repeated returns to set Symplocos prunifolia so as see its tasteful small branches.
House in Kakamigahara City Gifu pref. 2
We planted a tall tree on the border with the next house and received a request to create a garden for the purpose of the direct view, and the balls played by the grandchildren would not exceed over the border. This site Locates on a hill faced south, we can have a nice panoramic view.
The client and us selected "Japanese ternstroemia", "Myrica rubra", and "Camellia japonica" These are all up to 3.0m hight. There is planted a nice shaped maple tree, we keep to place it in original with pruning.
To promotion the root of bearing tree which the client chosen, we took care of making the planting soil blended with high quality bark compost, perlite and fertilizer.
The original soil was high quality black soil, so it is not necessary to add the extra soil. We regularly check the growing condition.
Before construction: The maple planted in good position to be possible to see from living room.
We pruned the maple tree nicely to see with whole scene.
Completed view from the side of the maple tree: Shaping the plantting space smooth rolling hill and natural curve so that the garden trees are not equally spaced.
Completed view from the house side: It became a natural "Screen" next to the house, and three magnificent trees and the maple fit well into the scenery.
House in Seki City Gifu pref. 1
Creating landscape with the new house which shaped long and thin along the long side of the residence. As the request of client, having a space for their child playing with barefoot and also a BBQ space.
Although the house is facing south, there is a next-door house close, we worried the turf growth by shade. Fortunately, plants are well growth with a soil improvement.
Before construction: The base ground used to be a plantation field, we did not have to shift the soil, except putting soil amendment in.
It was just a time the turf sprout to sprout, it did not take much time to children can play with barefoot.
We set up the stone combination inmost corner of the garden site. You can enjoy the calming view ahead of the depth.
House in Seki City Gifu pref. 2
This client had wanted to have his own garden for a long time, there were several garden materials and elements the client had kept to use when create his garden. He told us he has to keep his land as a heir, so it was the time to make a garden for an immortality.
We Landscape Ohta Niwaishi was happy to meet the expectations like that, we utilized those materials and elements which he inherited twenty years ago, Garden stones combinated in main site, the wash basin placed the front if the entrance.
We laid out the site with borrowing landscape including the mountain and rural scenery, and the big oak tree as a main.
The cient is an eager beaver, he had helped us around the contruction work, and also he cherishs the plants, we could devote him all the maintenance follow after.
The front of main entrance is a relaxing space overlooking the main garden. Shirakawa white gravel effects against the bricked house wall, and the good shaping dogwood welcomes you.
The quality of the base soil of main garden was good to plant and grow safe. The mountains, the big oak tree, and the Garden Stones which had been waiting for come in, were placed in the whole with a great sense of perspective.
The border of the garden is finished with white gravel, it makes the garden emphasizes.
