Impression of the current situation

• The present situation, It is only a flat yard paved the gravel.
• People can’t catch out and pass through the present because of its tasteless.
• And also the street trees and the road curb obstacle to ride into the yard.

The client's ideals are:

• Attracting notice to its presence.
• Including a parking space for several cars.
• A good looking whole scene with some plants and the railroad sleepers.
• Installing the concrete or asphalt pavement for a parking space and a walkway.
• Installing the blindfold in front of the kitchen door.
• Installing the fences on the border of neighbor.

Our inquiries and investigations are:

The parking space

• An expecting number of the car to be parked.
• An usable space for creating a garden.
• Confirm the application for permission of reconstructing a structure of the road.

Creating the whole scene to advertise the presence.

• Any favorite species of the plant??
• Including a sign in the garden??
• Possibility of usual maintenance.

Bordering fence

We suggested to build a fence on the border line first, because of 2 pros, for a good relationship with a neighbor and it would be efficient to put the sign on it.

Other:

• Site condition: facing to north, good ventilation, good drainage
• Management: No water supply
• Surrounding condition: The neighbor has little kids, traffic is busy, locating along the straight line of the street. People often walk along a sidewalk. The ginkgoes for the street tree. There are some piping in the ground and a protruded obstacle.

Scene of the plants

1. Creating a natural garden area mains the tall tree, that acts as a blindfold of the kitchen door and to block passing through the yard by car.
2. 3D effect by making a little hill (Tsukiyama)
3. Suggesting a comparably strong tree for any conditions.
4. Suggesting some plant species for the client can pick up in his favor
5. Arranging the walkway with the railroad sleepers and flat top stones naturally changing into concrete paving

Scene of the new type bamboo fence

1. Build the Ohta Niwaishi’s original bamboo fence directly in the field
2. The bamboo fences are able to suit to any client's favorite sizes, colors, materials
3. Possible to add some plants but not too much
4. Arranging the walkway with the railroad sleepers and flat top stones naturally changing into concrete paving
5. Bordering fence

These are only the first proposal designs by Ohta Niwaishi, the clients could pick and joint their favorite parts, or add on, or change whole.

This process would be provided to clear the client's images, we could re-draw any amount until fit the client’s image and convince.
