The Horaishiki dry Japanese garden was created by Kohori Enshu who established the famous azalea big plantation imitating the ocean.

Though the contrasting views between the big nature of backyard and the artificial shaped trimmings, it is not incongruous because fusing the great nature and the skills of the landscaper.
The stepstones are cut by hand, and filled the gap of the stones by a plant effects to relief from difference of elevation and combines a good design.
The trimmings might be shaped the sun and the moon. The spacious white graveled makes us to imagine the universe before reaching “Horai :Crane and Tortoise island”
※Horai : The worshiping special place which the deity or hermit lives, and the crane and tortoise are the symbols of eternal youth and immortality.
